I would like to thank you so very much for treating my 11-year-old little rescue Maltese "Squeak" and giving her back her quality of life. It has made an unbelievable difference to her happiness and energy levels.
Squeak went from being a very sick sad and depressed little dog, who didn't want to eat or move around, back to her normal self, bouncing around the lounge room like a baby bunny. Such a huge transformation – it was wonderful to see her happy again.
Her diagnosis was kidney failure with very dilute urine, mildly elevated blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and very high liver enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP). Squeak was drinking obsessively, urinating constantly and was very unwell.
Only a week after she started on homoeopathic drops and had one laser acupuncture treatment she stopped drinking and urinating constantly and began playing and running around like normal once again.
Squeak has continued on her homoeopathic kidney drops and had a further four laser acupuncture treatments. Eight months later she is thriving and happy. Homeopathic liver support drops were also prescribed for Squeak. I can never thank you enough. If not for your wonderful homoeopathic drops Squeak would not be here for me to cuddle.
I have been heavily involved in dog rescue for many years and will be highly recommending you to everyone with a sick dog that needs treatment. Should any of my dogs become unwell I will most definitely be bringing them to you. Many thanks!

Lachie’s story
My very fit and active four year old Standard Poodle, Lachie, started limping and not putting any weight on his left hind leg when standing. This occurred immediately after rest and began in early January 2014. The problem wore off each time within 10 minutes but I was concerned. His vet thought it could be a stifle injury and cruciate ligament damage and that would involve surgery. We tried anti-inflammatories, which appeared to work for a very short time, and after a couple of weeks it was time to do something else.
My niece, a vet in NSW, told me that Standard Poodles were prone to that injury as “they run like the wind and spin on a dime” - so true but not pleasant hearing.
I saw an orthopaedic vet surgeon who recommended immediate surgery which would mean an arthroscope to begin with and depending on the state of the ligament, probable surgery immediately following (TPLO), while Lachie was still under the anaesthetic. The after surgery treatment was going to be difficult for me as he weights 23 kgs and I was not long home from major surgery myself. Getting him out to toilet in the initial stages was going to be a major problem. As someone who had had arthroscopes and two knee replacements I knew exactly what the process involved.
I had had several successful homeopathic treatments myself over the previous two decades. A friend had told me about Margaret O’Riordan and the treatments she used and I took Lachie to see her on 8 February 2014.
After two treatments of acupuncture and Bowen Massage the limping and favouring of the leg had disappeared completely. Margaret indicated that he also had had an injury to his right shoulder area which was causing severe muscle pain and spasm. Upon investigation it turned out he had been hit in this area, at full bore, by a galloping Staffie some weeks before while I was recovering from my surgery.
Margaret suggested that I take his exercise gently for a while and I not allow him to be jumped on by larger dogs, particularly heavy ones, as Poodles have fine bones, muscles and tendons and can be damaged by very rough play from big dogs.
She could give me no guarantee but the results have been nothing less than spectacular. He has not needed major (and very expensive) surgery with all that that entails.
We went weekly for five weeks and then extended the space between visits. It is now out to six weeks between visits and that is my choice to ensure that the soft tissue damage is being cared for in the short and long term. It is now 16 weeks since Margaret first treated my lovely boy. There has been no recurrence (14 weeks) of the limping and favouring of his back leg since 22 February 2014.
In addition to acupuncture and Bowen Massage Lachie is on a homeopathic mix of remedies, one of which is Arnica, which aids muscle, tendon and ligament recovery. Again, I have experienced on a personal level the efficacy of Arnica and it was most interesting to see the same happening to my Poodle boy.
I have sent several friends with their dogs to see Margaret and all have noted significant improvements. I am sure if Lachie could speak he would confirm all the above.

Jenny’s story
I’ve been taking my cat Jenny to see Margaret for around a year now. That’s one year longer than the vets gave her to live.
Jenny and I were frequently visiting the vet clinic; she was drinking huge amounts of water, she wasn’t eating, her coat was dull and lifeless and she had no energy at all. Jenny was miserable, in pain and struggling. She even slept over at the vet’s one night on fluids and after running blood and urine tests. Still, nobody could tell us what was wrong.
I took her to Margaret as a last resort and, in all honesty, Jenny has never looked back. Within a few weeks of being on her homeopathic drops Jenny got that cheeky look back in her eyes! She scampers around the garden again, she eats all her dinner and she has the shiniest, softest coat. She is in better condition than I have ever known her to be in her entire 18 years of life. Most importantly, she is happier then ever.
So thank you to Margaret, for your continued support. There are no words to describe the depth of our appreciation for the time you have gifted Jenny and I with. Together we look forward to many more years exploring, scampering and loving each other! Thank you!
